Saint Clair Riesling  2002, Marlborough.

Colour: light greenish yellow.
Nose: fresh, juicy fruity, some nuances of apricots, green apples, some minerals, some "firne", spices and a touch of liquorice. Clean, ripe and fresh.
Taste: fresh, quite full-bodied for a Riesling, piquant acidity and a small touch of sweetness to balance it nicely, nuances of fruit, minerals and some spices, clean and very refreshing Riesling, tastes as a friendly, dry wine.
Finish: quite long, with good fruit, some spicy nuances, fresh acidity and a well balanced tiny touch of sweetness. Very well done.

* Very good and easy approachable Riesling in a fruity style. Beginning to acquire a more mature style regarding the light touch of petrol (firne) already present. Not a very deep or complex wine, but a very refreshing and satisfying wine that provides a good dose of pleasure.

- Should be drunk now, will change with age into a more spicy and earthy wine with less fruit, less easy to appreciate for most people, drink before 2006.

- Recommended wine, easy, refreshing and fruity, well balanced, offers attractive freshness without the dryness of many other wines.
