Bodegas del Romero Torrecilla rosado 2002, D.O. Navarra.

Colour: light rosé with no purple.
Nose: quite rich and warm, with some red fruit (strawberry, raspberry), creamy and ripe. Not complex, but easy and clean.
Taste: very soft, rich, round and smooth, some sweetness, quite concentrated and with again red fruits and some caramel. Lacking a bit freshness, but balance is ok, a bit heavy and alcoholic.
Finish: not very long, a lot of soft red fruit, a touch of sweetness, juicy, very easy going, quite low acidity.

* Cheap wine with no pretensions, very well made, clean, very fruity, a bit heavy, with some sweetness and lacks some freshness, but for this price very good value.

- Drink as young as possible, fruit will fade quickly, the full body will keep this wine ok for some time (until beginning 2004)

- Very big producer of very affordable and reliable Navarra wines, the classically styled red wines are the best, but in recent years the rosés and whites have gained much in quality.

- lotnr.: L 3010

- tasted: 28-01-’03

- estimated retail price ca. 3 euro

- average production: no indication
