Attiya Garnacha rosado 2002, D.O. Calatayud.

Colour:quite deep rosé, no purple.
Nose: mild, round, soft, with ripe fruit (raspberries) and some jammy nuances, some herbs and pepper.
Taste: dry, nice body, mild and silky, some power, ripe fruit and agreeable, sweetish bitters, enough freshness to compensate the firm alcohol content.
Finish: rather short, but clean and soft, some sweetness that matches the bitters nicely, some alcohol, fruit and a fresh acidity.

* Very well made dry rosé, not complex, but easy  to drink and delicious, mild, clean, international style with enough ripe fruit, some spiciness and a nice acidity.

- Drink as young as possible, fruit will fade with time, the body and acidity will keep this wine alive into spring 2004.

- Big producer of very affordable and reliable Calatayud wines, modern style, emphasis on fruit and body, never short on alcohol, but always with good acidity.

- lotnr.: L 260603

- tasted: 19-08-’03

- estimated retail price ca. 4 euro

- average production: no indication
