dark and intense red with purple.
Nose: medium expressive, fruity (cherries), warm, rich, spicy (pepper), alcohol, some richness, attractive and mainly fruit-driven, has some depth and elegance. Very clean and clear style.
Taste: round, medium intense, medium bodied, with good juicy mid-palate, spicy-fruity, with many young, piquant tannins, freshness, some pepper and minerals, good balance, pure and clean style.
Finish: medium long, with beautiful fruit and spices, medium intense, young, piquant tannins, some minerals and a mild freshness.
* Young and characterful
organic red wine with a nice round palate, many nuances of beautiful
and piquant tannins, clean and honest style with good acidity matching
the alcohol nicely.
- Can be drunk now, but
will improve the next year, will become more earthy
and spicy in style. Will never be a smooth wine, but will be a good
partner with many meat dishes. Drink before
- Recommended wine from a very reliable organic producer. Their wines seem to have traded elegance and refinement for weight and structure since the conversion towards organic viticulture. Also the vintage 2005 plays an important role: the drought conditions has yielded wines with a lot of strong tannins, the same applies for 2004 and 2003. Very natural in style, nice expression of the grapes (50% grenache, 50% syrah). No fashionable oak or over extraction, just pure and good quality one can produce from these vineyards.
